THE TRAVEL COUNSELOR SAYS:

This wonderfully restored 1800s hotel is located downtown (the only option available here). This is Red Wing's only real hotel option for meetings, wedding receptions and so on, and it features a number of large rooms for groups. It's also the only place in town where you can get room service, or go to a restaurant/bar that's located in the same building. The rooms aren't great for families, and until recently there were no rooms with more than one bed (there are a handful now). If you're on a budget, there are deals to be had here during offseason, but it will be the priciest option in town on weekends and during the summer and fall.

We stayed here last year and had a good time. Room was cozy, but heard the trains regularly.
